Hi, I’m Suzie Ross and I am on a mission to make Riichi Mahjong accessible to everyone.

Over the course of my 15-year career as a tech recruiter, I learned the value of human connection.

It was at the Mahjong table where I've met some of my absolute best friends. In fact, my love for the game led me to launch a weekly Riichi Mahjong meetup out of my house that I have proudly hosted for over five years now (and still going)! While running my meetup, I noticed there were a lot of people wanting to join that didn’t know how to play Riichi.

Riichi is incredibly fun, but it has a reputation for being fiercely competitive. Unfortunately, this cutthroat image scares many beginners away. I wanted to change that. I started teaching Riichi Mahjong Classes to make the game approachable for everyone.

Eventually, I noticed a problem: the standard tiles were confusing for new players, and the few "beginner" tile sets out there just weren't up to par. To fill this gap, my husband and I invested in a laser cutter to make our own learner-friendly Riichi Mahjong Tiles. They're designed to eliminate confusion and speed up the learning process.

Born out of a need for my own classes, this passion project has grown into a business. We are thrilled to offer these tiles to anyone looking to make learning Riichi Mahjong an inclusive, welcoming, and fun experience.
